287 people now registered for our urban tree mapathon tomorrow. Can you help us reach 300? Looking for people to volunteer 1-2hrs to do online canopy cover assessments of council wards to complete a UK urban tree map. Sessions at 10am and 2pm. Come to either or both ๐ŸŒณ Thanks!

When Swansea's tree campaigning started we used to talk about avoiding Swansea becoming "the next Sheffield", but I have a feeling Swansea was actually the first Sheffield. Our beautiful bit of Wales has a woeful record on protecting trees. ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒณbbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-โ€ฆ

Lovely to deliver a Swansea University Science for Schools Scheme Redwood relief print to Lee Penllergare this wknd. Whilst we should never have been able to make these prints they serve as a memorial & a reminder that big trees, as the top trumps of green infrastructure, should never be lost to development ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒณ

Wales lags behind on nature crisis - we need nature targets and environmental justice set in stone and fast if we are to reverse wildlife decline and natural environment degradation - a big decision for the world of our future generations Eluned Morgan Future Gen Cymru

How the hell do you "relocate" a nature reserve by chopping down 27 acres of tress? It's a Site of Special Scientific Interest, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and full of protected species. LEAVE IT ALONE. walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-newโ€ฆ #wales
