Ibna Mattuta Thank you so much for highlighting this! I was there in 2019 and loved it. Went back in 2024 and it had been turned into an Omani exhibition hall. Even the guide seemed embarrassed. National Museums of Kenya bring back our artefacts!

Ibna Mattuta I was there many years ago, I remember being amazed by the size, majesty and design of the Ivory Siwa plus all other aspects of the exhibitions. There was a balance Indian, Chinese, Portuguese, stability and indigenous influences were well explain. This is Sad 😔

This is also at the National museum. A whole Omani section that had me very confused because it had very little to show in its connection to EA

The displays I expected to see at the Lamu Museum

Got these copies from Ibna Mattuta. She was inspired into writing the book after finding most Kiswahili ABC books available were bilingual ABC books. This one is purely in Kiswahili...Z ni ya Zulia. Will distribute these to some nursery schools & children spaces. Cc: #Hiistoriya
