Super Sky Point to Gaylord Perry, who perpetually stayed one step ahead of the law while lubing his way to 314 career wins. Threw 111 complete games from 1972-1975. Read that again. #RIP

Union Grounds, built in 1862, was located in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. It was the first ball field to be entirely fenced in, thus, allowing the owner (William Cammeyer) to be the first to charge admission (then 10 cents). It had an in-play pagoda in center field.

The only problem with this Willie Stargell stamp is no matter where I address my letters, they all keep getting delivered to the upper deck in Pittsburgh.

We are saddened today by the passing of Ed Ott.   A beloved member of the Pirates family, Ed spent seven of his eight years in the Major Leagues with the Pirates and was a valued member of our World Series Championship team in 1979.    Our sincere condolences to his wife, Sue,

Cooperstown is now flavor country, motherfucker! CONGRATULATIONS to Dave Parker and to Dick Allen in heaven. I’ve said it many, many times on this platform. Today is sweet justice for two sweet bastards. You earned it, gentlemen.
