It's almost like many of citizens of our nation are telling us something has gone horribly wrong and they feel helpless to enact any change. We have lost the value of meaning and hope in our communities. nbcnews.com/health/health-…

Not only is this story fascinating & likely helpful info for so many of my friends & colleagues, but I am also a proud steering committee member of SPRC. So if you have any questions about SPRC or about suicide prevention, ask me! Stella Resko, MSW, Ph.D. David Brooks Howard Liu, MD MBA

What an amazing interview With Stephen Colbert. It was a fascinating talk (this clip in particular) about religion, loss, and living. I hope folks watch. It was one of those “where is my notebook” kinda moments.

I wish we would talk about suicide not only in September but every month.Suicide is attributed to a decline in the national life expectancy. 2 years in a row, never experienced in the US.Suicide prevention needs to be a national prevention priority. Not an intervention strategy.
