Just catching up with this news. Just delighted about this. Have been banging on about this for years (irritating everyone). If you separate SEND provision out, you immediately create a sense of ‘other’ where lower expectations or ‘we’ll sort it out later’ is ok. So pleased.

This is such an important point from Susan which I've been fortunate to hear her make several times - a fundamental shift in how we think better about SEND provision is to not think about it as something else.

So… (sorry, I’m excited by this and the England win!) now what we must ensure is that policy decisions are made with 100% of children in mind. Not 95% and think about the others later. If we get it right for those for whom learning is more difficult, we’ll get it right for all

A sad day for me today attending my last Board meeting as a Trustee for National Foundation for Educational Research .
