Flight of tradition- Watercolour. This is a personal exploration of the timeless beauty of ancient Indian Warli tribal art. The Warli birds represent an act of reconnection for someone raised away from India; born abandoned and searching for belonging between worlds.

Cloudhead peacock I love working in a decorative style. This painting is a mixed media with tiny cut-outs of collage from vintage ladybird books because they were painted in quite similar colours. This took 3 days so am glad to have lots of holiday time over the summer.

Given And Gone Gouache I inherited this Indian pot from my mother years ago. The cat in the painting was also mine. I named her as a child, the moment I saw her in a pet shop. I turned to my dad and said, “Golly, I want that one please” He said Golly would make a good name”
