Special Sergeant 6601 on duty today; we deployed our Drone in Tandridge to assist RPU & Dog Units provide overhead coverage whilst 5 people were arrested & a large number of stolen vehicles were recovered. Earlier on we stopped 3 vehicles & attended an RTC in Oxted.

M25, Reigate. Phone out of the window, filming a mate's car whilst doing 60mph at rush hour, eyes everywhere but the road in front 🙄 Vehicle seized (2nd S59 Warning!), driver reported & insurance firm informed about the undeclared modifications. #SCRPU ^MW

Court News ⚖️ In April, we stopped a van driver on a Sunday morning in #Dorking on a road heavily-used by cyclists 🚴‍♀️ & m'cyclists 🏍️...he was found to be 14x over the specified limit for Benzos (a cocaine by-product). 18 month ban ❌ £1225 in fines and costs 💥 #SCRPU ^MW

M3, Longcross. Undertaking at 103mph on a wet motorway and hassling other road users to move aside gets a date in Court. Not, as requested by the driver, a speed awareness course 🙄 #SCRPU ^MW

M25, Cobham. The absolute state of it. Insecure load, no MOT since Jan 2023, excess tints on the windows, no seatbelt and a positive drug wipe for cocaine. Van seized on behalf of #DVLA, driver arrested for five offences, and bloods obtained for analysis. #SCRPU ^MW

At an RTC in Dorking at a single vehicle that has over turned and landed in the middle of the road, minor injury. Road closed whilst we recover the vehicle. 6601

Court news ⚖️ The driver who was stopped on the M3, provided a +ive drug wipe, and then refused to provide a sample of blood in custody, was banned from driving for 14 months and fined. An intel report meant that he was picked up again one week later by Surrey RoadSafe 🙄 #SCRPU ^MW

Bagshot. Having been stopped for speeding, a driver gave fake details; a check on our mobile fingerprint device showed they were in breach of a deportation order. Arrested for immigration offences, drug driving and obstructing a constable 💥 Room for one, please. #SCRPU ^MW

On duty tonight as drone unit. Immediately upon leaving the station, spotted a vehicle being driven dangerously on the A3. Vehicle stopped with assistance from Roads Policing - Surrey Police - UK and driver promptly arrested for drink-driving after blowing 3x the legal limit. #OpLimit ^6698

M25, Staines. This lovingly-maintained van was so muddy, the number plate wasn't readable. Call to Drive Insured confirmed that driver had failed to disclose prior convictions to ins. company; policy cancelled 🙄 🙄 Driver arrested for drug driving & vehicle seized #SCRPU ^MW
