Meet one of our Indian Runner Ducks! This breed of duck has a tall, upright body and moves in a very different way to most ducks, by running rather than waddling! Originally called Penguin Ducks when introduced by Dutch explorers in the 1850s.

Farm Produce students have been expanding their skills learning how to make pasta this summer! They’ve also made delicious onion bread to take home; plus lots of jams from fruit they’ve harvested on site. Don’t miss our Harvest Festival 14th Sep to purchase some of their produce!

1/5: I had the strangest surprise yesterday, when I passed this 'old friend' - a mooring block on the foreshore at south Rotherhithe. It originally belonged to the drinks merchant Robert Blake Byass, who had his wharf alongside here in Victorian times.

A surprise update about this mooring block: David Fletcher has a video showing it's floating - which explains how it turned upside-down after having been excavated! David Fletcher plans to scan it today to make a 3D photogram.

Meet Rolo! He was born at the Farm last year, on 25th September. He’s a Middle White cross Berkshire boar and loves wallowing in his muddy pool in the field and crunching down apples! Rolo is father to our new piglets.
