Its worth getting up early to see the lapwings that have been on the FB's at #Seethingwells for a few weeks now and definitely behaving as a pair. You need binoculars to see them. Please submit any records to Surbiton Bird Club

Now that’s what I call a good day’s birding in London! Smew, 4 Goosander, Scaup, point blank views of #Lifer Red-necked Grebe, Slavonian Grebe, and a bonus rolling Raven. Absolutely worth the 5 hour round trip. KGV Reservoir. London Bird Club #londonbirds

Great morning at the Wood in Surbiton with SURBITON WILDLIFE. We were tackling invasive bamboo & cherry laurel, picking litter and planting hawthorn whips to enhance the understory. Kingston Council Glendale Services Kingston

Yesterday I popped out at lunch to meet the lovely people at Cromwell Open Space, to put up some bat & bird boxes! All were made from recycled wood, by the fantastic organisation Wild Reclamation. These will provide more nesting / roosting opportunities in our parks! Kingston Council

Let's all keep a close eye on these swans, I fear for their future. Any webcam possible? Also please report birds seen to Seething Wells Action Group and Surbiton Bird Club, especially nesting or schedule 1 birds legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1981/69/…

Rather than walking round the reservoir Phoebe Bridgers style I ran. Glad I did as it flew off just before I got there and flew past me heading north. Crane at Island Barns Res. Later seen over Richmond Park. Thanks to Darren Spragg and Dave Harris. SurreyBirdClubNews

Lovely summer solstice sunset bird walk with Surbiton Bird Club! Tolworth Court Farm looked stunning in the warm light. Highlights included a couple of kestrels & a stag beetle, but the prize goes to a pair of hobbies hunting dragonflies! My 1st hobbies this year! Kingston Council
