Large incident in the area of Stinson and Hill. Do not enter this area. If evacuation is in order, we will let you know.

The fire has reignited at the Husky Refinery. There is no need to evacuate at this time. Please remain away from the area. Hill Ave. and Stinson Ave. Will remain closed.

Douglas County Emergency Management has issued an evacuation order. If you are within a one mile radius of the refinery, 10 miles to the South, please evacuate now.

Updated evacuation: 2 miles to the north, 3 miles to the east and west, and 10 miles to the South. Please evacuate immediately.

Officers are still going door to door to evacuate people in the evacuation area. Please assist them by evacuating prior to their arrival. Again, those who are 2 miles north, 3 miles east and west, and 10 miles south of the Husky Refinery, please evacuate.

SFD and Husky Energy confirming the fire has been extinguished. An evacuation order will stand for approximately two more hours.

Correction: The evacuation order remains in effect, and will be reevaluated throughout the night. Updates to follow as they come.

As of 6am today, the evacuation order has been lifted, and you may return to your home.
