Reform is suspending overt racists.

It isn't yet clear whether on not there is any boundary about what positions candidates could take on Covid: eg conspiracies about the pandemic being a fake/scam by global elites, or about vaccines.

The deputy leader has said 'what they called a vaccine was not a vaccine' (though Habib only opposed compulsion, and got vaccinated himself to travel). This candidate advocated banning the Covid vaccine, arguing it was a crime against humanity to vaccinate young people

I think Reform will also have to suspend Jonathan Kay (South Ribble) and Mick Greenhough (Orpington). Both call for the mass deportation of Muslims, claiming co-existence is impossible. Among other racist and prejudiced comments, missed by party vetting, reported by Hope Not Hate

It is good that Reform has removed these two candidates too. Having selected 550 candidates at pace, seven have been removed for very overt racism (eg deport Muslims, deport all legal migrants).

I don't think it is the case that the Conservatives, Labour, LibDems or SNP have kept candidates who have crossed the ĺine of the 7 Reform candidates recently suspended for overt racism

Candidate says told his anti-Muslim content crossed the line. He says he was challenging Reform removing candidates when Hope Not Hate revealed they were supporters of Tommy Robinson

The Lewes case suggests an incredibly low bar on candidate quality. While 8 named candidates have been dropped for racism. Hope Not Hate suggests many more (62) previously announced candidates have been ditched/moved (and that there are 200 vacancies).
