I am really in awe of our rumor mill. How easily people believe in them and how it spreads like wildfire. Due diligence on part of all of us is important to stop the rumors as they have potential to create chaos in the society. #stopfakenews

Fake news in the form of WhatsApp messages regarding recovery of some suspicious objects being recovered in some schools is going on. These messages are totally false. Please check the veracity and source of information behind every such message before believing or forwarding it.

Do not spread fake news, do not forward fake news. Verify the source of information and its authenticity before you forward or post it

Kudos to all district DCsP of Delhi Police for judicious use of resources today, in proactively reaching out to all schools and ensuring all safety protocols.

Some schools in Delhi received threat e-mails this morning. The mails appear to be hoax and there is no need to panic. Delhi Police and security agencies are taking all necessary steps as per protocol.

Some schools of Delhi received E-mails regarding bomb threats. Delhi Police has conducted thorough check of all such schools as per protocol. Nothing objectionable has been found. It appears that these calls seem to be hoax.
We request the public not to panic and maintain peace.
