Great to speak at Ahmedabad University & International Growth Centre conference on sustainable cities. I had a look at how many coal plants are within a 300km radius of Delhi, and was struck by the results. We need to ensure our citizens have access to clean air and clean energy. We fail to grasp the sheer speed of innovation in grid-scale storage. In my convos with govs, renewables + storage is often regaled as a story for the 2030s. This is used as an argument to delay cheap solar and wind. To me, this is a mistake. economist.com/the-world-ahea…
