Happy Fall break everyone! 🍂 Our Seminar Series is back this Friday 10/17 from 1-2pm in LSB 105 with speaker Jordan Davie! Attendees will get the chance to learn about fire investigation as a whole, its connections to forensic science, and follow along with an actual case study.

Thank You to Jordan Davie for his seminar presentation last Friday! Students enjoyed learning about the intersection of forensic science and fire investigation and found the accompanying case study highly engaging.

This Friday 10/24 our seminar series continues with speaker Jonathan Jacobs! From 1-2pm in LSB 105 join us in learning about Dr. Jacob's work in building authenticated reference genomes at ATCC and their applications. Hope to see you there!

Thank you to Jonathan Jacobs for his presentation on ATCC's Genome Portal at last week's Seminar! Students loved hearing about ATCC's organization, the importance of using authenticated references linked to physical, traceable materials, and its impact on their current research.

Two weeks ago MS students Taylor Walther, Cameron Brown and Maya Medina, attended the Northeastern Association of Forensic Scientists Conference in Lancaster PA to present their research as part of the forensic biology/DNA scientific and poster sessions. Great job everyone!
