Unsurprisingly, I did not cycle to work today 💨 Instead, colleagues granted Wiglaf special permission to convey me to my departmental duty British Museum. Never was his name more apt. Stay safe, everyone! 🚨

Bike courier duties today. London’s cycle lanes were like the Sweet Track with Eunice detritus. Didn’t stop me diverting to the bookshop on the way home though 😅 (thanks Neil Wilkin for the reco!)

And just like that, he’s gone. 2 years late, my brilliant partner is finally rejoining his Clipper Round the World Yacht Race DareToLead19/20 crew to race across oceans from the Philippines back home to London. Hopefully this time, he won’t be back again in 2 weeks (that’s a loving statement, btw) ⛵️

Ok so the boss Dr Goldberg sends me a very excited message last night. Apparently the men of Constantin in #TheLastKingdom bear #GallowayHoard-inspired shields. He figures the greenish tinge comes from using pre-conservation images like this one.
