📢Registrations are now open for InSDB-ISD 25! This year, the meeting will take place at IISER Berhampur from 15-17 December. Register here: insdb.in/insdb-isd-regi…
Happy to share a preprint of my PhD work Andrea Brand! We created a chromatin state model for quiescent and proliferating neural stem cells in Drosophila and found that quiescent cells gain active chromatin to support stem cell functions. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
What controls condensate composition and function beyond binding stoichiometry? We show that condensate microenvironments play a key role, and can be probed by a micropeptide killswitch in live cells. nature.com/articles/s4158… out now in nature with Henri Niskanen Denes Hnisz & team.
In preprints: unpicking chemical and mechanical crosstalk for axonal pathfinding dionn.hargreaves and Woolner Lab discuss the #preprint from Eva Pillai, Sudipta Mukherjee, FranzeLab 🇺🇦 et al. journals.biologists.com/dev/article/15…
Thank you dionn.hargreaves, Woolner Lab, and Development for highlighting our Sudipta Mukherjee FranzeLab 🇺🇦 preprint! Chuffed to see it through different eyes! 🙌
Finding commonality in autism and congenital heart disease Read this Research Highlight showcasing work from Nia Teerikorpi, Tomasz Nowakowski @labnowakowski, Jeremy Willsey Willsey Lab, Helen Rankin Willsey Helen Willsey & co UCSF Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences UC San Francisco: journals.biologists.com/dev/article/15…
🚨 Second preprint of the week! We uncover the multiscale dynamics of active viscoelastic buckling in epithelia. We harness these mechanical instabilities for synthetic morphogenesis. Led by Nimesh Chahare🙌. Theory by Marino Arroyo and team. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Out now! Our very first paper from the lab, an impressive feat by Toby Andrews where we show how a developing heart grows and scales up its morphological complexity to keep beating...an excellent summary below ⬇️ cell.com/developmenta...
Thrilled to share 🎉 I’m joining University of Zurich DMLS as Assistant Professor (tenure track)! I’ll launch the Neural MorphoGenomics & Developmental Dynamics Lab, exploring how genes + morphogenesis shape brain development using organoids, imaging & spatial genomics 🧠🔬🧬
🚨 We’re hiring! 🚨 A postdoc position is open in my lab at the Dept. of Biological Sciences, TIFR Mumbai 🧠 Focus: #zebrafish #imaging #interdisciplinary 📅 Deadline: October 10, 2025 🔗 More details: symmetry-lab.com/contact/ Please share widely! Tata Institute of Fundamental Research DBS TIFR
