Delighted to chat to Marjorie Brennan in Irish Examiner about my bookselling journey from Waterstones to Halfway up the Stairs and how my love of children’s books has led to a shortlisting for The Bookseller’s Bookseller of the Year! #Nibbies irishexaminer.com/lifestyle/arts…

I avoid scary novels but couldn’t stop reading - should PSI investigate @AmyClarkin for paranormal writing ability? Great characters, spooky and suspenseful, possibly best read in daylight… Thanks to the lovely Elena Browne The O'Brien Press for the opportunity to be brave!

Steady For This is so brilliant, could Nathanael Lessore do it again? Yes! King of Nothing is a funny, hopeful, honest book about friendship, toxic masculinity and growth - a book teens need to read. Closed the book feeling sad to have finished it but better for having read it. 10/10

I’ve learned a valuable lesson this evening: when Paddy Donnelly gives advice take it! I didn’t prepare a speech but I’m so thrilled to be Individual Bookseller of the Year! Thank you to Penguin Books for hosting me this evening! Children’s books matter! #Nibbies Halfway up the Stairs

Children deserve entertaining and diverse books which respect their readers. Investment in children’s books allows readers as well as publishing to flourish. This award is particularly significant to me as a children’s bookseller, thank you The Bookseller Penguin Books UK #Nibbies

The #Nibbies celebrations have kept on rolling thanks to the lovely Bríd and Julia Pan Macmillan, I’m spoiled! I’m very grateful!

Currently brightening my kitchen table - thank you so much to Lorraine, Lara and Hannah for sending this beautiful bouquet Bloomsbury Kids & YA UK, Bloomsbury Books UK

The brownies look amazing and the message is so thoughtful, the lovely team at Hachette Children's Scoop made this bookseller feel very special - thank you! I think these are decadent enough to significantly increase the appeal of family book club and (possibly) share with Trish too!

If your teen is struggling to make sense of current world events, this excellent novel by Clare Furniss @clarefurniss.bsky.social is an intelligent, insightful and (sadly) plausible story of how right-wing populism can take hold. A cautionary tale, but most importantly, a story of hope and empathy.

Honouring the heritage of fairytales, this feminist YA novel shows how one brave girl can bring down a misogynistic patriarchy when she takes control of the (actual) narrative. Polly Crosby’s engrossing novels portrays girls and boys as allies and equals - as it should be.
