You Go Gull: Music Education graduate, Rheya Ford will continue to conduct beautiful music at Wicomico Middle this year. The Maryland Teacher of Promise will also inspire students involved in chorus, theater and dance at our PDS. Congratulations, Rheya!

You Go Gull: Aidan Hugues's dad, Kevin, is proud to share his news. The Phys Educ grad will teach PE and Health at Odessa Shannon MS. Aidan completed his internships in Worcester Co and Sweden, and is ready to join the staff at the Montgomery Co school. We join Kevin with pride!

You Go Gull: Happy 1st Day of School for many students and teachers, including Phys Educ grad, Kelly Craemer. 2 Wicomico Co schools are lucky to share Kelly’s talents this school year. Kelly will welcome Charles H. Chipman Chipmunks and West Salisbury Tigers to their gymnasiums.

Thank you to our partners who participated in our RPDS Council Meeting. Teams at Beaver Run, Fruitland Int, James M. Bennett and North Salisbury hit a triple by engaging a site coordinator, liaison and administrator. East Salisbury hit a home run by having 2 administrators there!

This week, we are highlighting our on-site School in a Diverse Society courses, starting with the original! Our thanks to our partners at Mardela Middle and High School for hosting Dr. Siers and his teacher candidates each fall.

Today, we'd like to thank Parkside High School for hosting two EDFN 210 on-site courses each year. This fall, PHS welcomes Dr. Pope and these teacher candidates into the "RAMFAM"!

Today's on-site foundations course highlight takes us to nearby James M. Bennett High School, where you can find Dr. Groth and his teacher candidates this semester. Thank you to the team at JMB for their support!

These SU Sea Gulls are honorary Pemberton Pandas for the semester! Many thanks to our partners at Pemberton Elementary for hosting Dr. Flores and this group of EDFN 210 teacher candidates this fall.

We are proud to partner with Wicomico County Public Schools for our fifth on-site School in a Diverse Society course this semester. These lucky teacher candidates will learn about how schools work in the best place to be - Prince Street Elementary School!

Teacher candidates in our Elem Educ Cohort Program at the Eastern Shore Higher Education Center were invited by their Science Methods instructor to visit her classroom at Arundel Middle to witness middle school science in action. Our thanks to Mrs. Fagan and our AACPS partners!

One of our favorite partnership perks is when a school partner shares expertise with future teachers! Wicomico County Special Education Supervisor, Jason Capobianco, recently served as a guest speaker for Dr. Suk's Inclusive Instruction class for secondary educators.

Unplanned "twinning" with your mentor teachers happens quite often when our interns build strong partnerships. However, this is our first time that an intern and their principal are twins! Shoutout to Mrs. O'Donnell and Ms. Kennington on Northwestern WAY Day!

SU PDS is proud of these new teacher Sea Gulls. Maylin was hired where she completed her internship. Dionne was part of our CtEYAP program in partnership with Wicomico, Somerset and Worcester Counties; supporting instructional assistants in their pursuit of becoming teachers.

Stephen Decatur High School's Kristina Cosgrove is what we refer to in the biz as a "boundary-spanning teacher educator". Recently, Ms. Cosgrove's EDFN 210 students visited SU to collaborate on a project with her SCED 438 students. Quite a PDS perk for all involved!
