of people who are completely disconnected and alienated from everything around them, from other lifeforms to the land to the people. That's the only way to keep the destruction going. If we don't even know the struggles of everyone around us & think it has nothing to do with us.

I'm not calling for empathy. I'm calling us to realize this is happening, that our struggles and survival is intertwined with everyone and everything around us and for us to therefore try to stay in touch as best we can.
