Number One sat by the front window for a little while yesterday.

It turned into a lovely day for the walk to our drop off our ballots, although, I would have also walked in the rain.

The ravens were flying around together, softly warbling back and forth to one another. After gaining enough speed, they'd glide for a while, syncing up their turns. I'm sure scientific bird papers would describe it as "strengthening their bond" as they do with so many behaviors.

As a lifelong professional it should be one of your top priorities to be connected with as many diverse people as possible. The things that you can learn from someone from another part of the world could be the key ingredient that makes you stand out for future opportunities.

The waxwings arrived for a rest and snack just as the shade stretched across the top of the tree. Listen carefully, and you'll hear their high pitched calls. In the background, there are crows, finches, and warblers.

This raven and I shared a few moments today. Usually, they're pretty shy, so it was a surprise when they walked closer, despite the camera.

Seeing everyone post goodbyes and scattering to the far corners of the internet is overwhelmingly sad. Wherever you land, be kind to the people around you. 💙

This crow waited for a while on that branch before deciding to fly over and check the roof for peanuts hidden by scrub jays. Alas, there were none.
