Today I hosted a roundtable for student midwives at Holyrood to discuss the financial constraints they face The RCM Scotland. Far too many student midwives are taking on additional debt which is discouraging people from taking up this vital profession.

So lucky to have been involved in such a crucial project and hope to see positive change for students going forward!

You don’t realise how much you have midwifery and uni on the brain until you’re watching the Olympics and your first thought is how interesting a PHD would be on reproductive health of elite athletes, it really creeps up on you🫣

Such a privilege to have been nominated again this year. Sad to have missed it but helped facilitate a beautiful birth and felt very “midwifey” today - so all meant to be! So proud of my colleague Kayty Richards for winning and can’t wait to see everything you do as a NQM 💗
