An excellent new book on #pilgrimage! And I can highly recommend the chapter by Dr Anne E Bailey, which I'm also delighted to say features The St Thomas Way as an example of the contemporary pilgrimage revival.

Great to see The St Thomas Way featured in another excellent essay in the fab new book Multidisciplinary Perspectives on #Pilgrimage ed. Heather A. WARFIELD, PhD. Dr Ian Styler explores #DigitalHumanities perspectives on pilgrimage, with the St Thomas Way as a case study. peterlang.com/document/12975…

Lovely to see this capturing renewed attention today! Thank you for sharing again, Anne Louise Avery. Anne's contribution to the book is a moving & beautiful piece of #PlaceWriting. And if you'd like to follow in her footsteps on The St Thomas Way, take a look: thomasway.ac.uk

I've been enjoying the exhibition in the Instituto Porto-Pernambuco Universidade Porto. This piece, by Ze Alves, made me think of the votive models left by #medieval #pilgrims at saints' shrines - apt, as The St Thomas Way is one of the projects I'll speak about in my lecture tomorrow.

Looks like Arc Humanities Press have a sale: 25% off with code ARC23! That means you can get my #Medieval #Cityscapes Today for under £12, and the St Thomas Way / #Pilgrimage book for, well, less than usual - as well as loads of other excellent books.
