Angel choirs have descended on St Swithun’s! Well, not quite, but our festival choir sound incredible. You can hear another concert tomorrow at 3pm. £10 a ticket, complete with cream tea!

The concerts aren't over! At 3pm today we have visiting choir Quorum singing all sorts of lovely things for us. Tickets are a tenner, AND, you get a cream tea thrown in. Bargain!

Not long now until St Swithun's Day! We celebrate in style with our Parish Eucharist at the later time of 10.30am on Sunday 15th. It's followed by a FABULOUS garden party, and we say goodbye to our curate Alice. What's more, unlike this image, it's going to be ☀️☀️☀️

Have you ever wanted to know more about the history of St Swithun's? We've been here a long time and the church is full of interesting things to see. Throughout the summer we're offering free guided tours on Sundays and Tuesdays at 2.30pm.

Tea & Toys is back for a new term! In the church hall 10.00-11.30am. Today we have the slide and playdoh out, along with all the usual toys. Come and join us for play (little people) and a cuppa, biscuit and chat (big people).

Fun Fact: It’s the feast of St Hildegard of Bingen today - she was German Benedictine abbess who was (amongst many other things) a writer, composer and philosopher. She is considered to be the founder of scientific natural history in Germany. You learn something new every day!

Sung Eucharist for Remembrance Sunday, Nov 10 2019, is at 9.30am to allow time for those who wish to join the Act of Remembrance in the town at 11.00am. The Clergy, Musical Director and Choir will process to the War Memorial to be in place for the ceremony.
