As part of our eco-code commitment, Y5 have been involved in the Urbanwise.London Mudlarks project. Today some children took part in a conference sharing findings about water pollution, presenting work confidently & highlighting issues around plastic pollution. Well done team!

As part of the Mudlarks project the children have borrowed and installed a camera in the hope of capturing some images of the night time wildlife that inhabits the middle playground. Any guesses Chris Packham, who will be our first visitor?

Ten of our very best Y4 chess players joined 300 others from all over the UK to enjoy a day of #Chess fun with a tournament, simul & lessons at #ChessFest. They have learned lots over the year from organisers Chess in Schools and Communities and our own Miss Cummins too, bringing home three medals!

SUPER CHAMPIONS! ๐ As champions from the north of H&F Council the Girl's Team played the champions of the south... Another draw, another penalty shoot out & another winning pen by Viva - our very own Georgia Stanway. Lionesses of da'Bush sending best wishes to Lionesses at FIFA Women's World Cup

It's that time of year again! Yesterday, Mandy kicked off the H&F Council #SummerReadingChallenge2023 which this year has teamed up with the Youth Sport Trust to inspire children to discover the power of sport and play through reading. Find out more & sign up at bit.ly/43uPV1K

For a great match report and some amazing action photos check out the H&F Council website bit.ly/44OHUG3 and click through to flickr. Here's a taster...

Y2 pupils enjoyed an amazing trip to St Paul's Cathedral climbing 300+ steps to reach the famous Whispering Gallery. They learned that the cathedral has been rebuilt 5 times over the centuries & linked to learning about the Great Fire of London. Anyone see Samuel Pepys? #History

Big thanks to Dr Marl'ene from Goldsmiths, University of London who delivered a brilliant Caribbean Creoles Workshop to Y6. After finding out how the language(s) evolved & exploring the geography, they learned the numbers to & she read an Anansi story too.
