On scene at Le Geyt flats helping with evacuation and road closure. The evacuation point for affected residents is at Springfield Stadium. Surrounding roads unaffected so far, but worth avoiding area if possible to let emergency services work.

Island Energy and Jersey Fire & Rescue are currently on scene responding to a suspected gas leak in the Springfield area. 21 homes at nearby Le Geyt have been temporarily evacuated as a precaution. The incident is being dealt with as swiftly as possible.

Le Geyt gas leak update: Island Energy has confirmed that the mains gas leak, in the road close to the Le Geyt flats, has been located and repaired. There are zero gas readings in any of the properties and the emergency services have been stood down.

PC Bolton was out with me this afternoon patrolling Langley Park/Ave responding to residents reports of antisocial behaviour. We spoke with residents to offer reassurance & engaged with education staff who were supporting our efforts.

Early morning road check with DVS and St Saviours Honorary Police. 27 vehicles stopped, advice given to 9 drivers and 3 defect notices issued.

A shout out & big thank you to the good samaritans today at Georgetown, who assisted an injured man who needed treatment from Jersey Ambulance. They made sure he was alright and even looked after his dogs, making sure they made it safely to a relatives house. Great community spirit!
