Beginning Monday, May 31, the PDSB will lower flags at all buildings as a sign of collective mourning for the 215 children whose remains were found at the site of a former residential school in Kamloops, BC.

I appreciate this thread. Being an out educator for a decade+ has brought gifts & huge costs. Usually, I only share the gifts. One ugly truth of many-death threats required a safety plan at work & a quick response support plan with police. I will never be the same from the hate.

We are horrified by Brian Pallister & Alan Lagimodiere trying to defend Residential Schools. This system was made to violently assimilate Indigenous peoples. That a government could defend this practice, especially in light of the recoveries of unmarked graves, is appalling.
