Great start on some short, accessible, and interesting poster presentations from Dr Hope Schlesinger on depression and suicidality in people with post-stroke aphasia and Emma Patchwood on #ACT and Wellbeing After Stroke (WAterS) study #OPSYRIS2021
Enjoying all the great poster presentations at #OPSYRIS2021! Especially intrigued by Hannah Foote's work on training paraprofessionals to deliver #AcceptanceandCommitmentTherapy to stroke survivors. Great work. Can't wait to see more from the Wellbeing After Stroke (WAterS) study team! #StrokeResearch
Enjoyed chatting about Wellbeing After Stroke (WAterS) study exploring #ACT to improve #psychological #adjustment. Hoping to secure #funds for work to enhance accessibility, inclusivity and workforce-reach going forward 🤞Thanks for listening, #UKSF22 crowd!
Bit slow to share (still not used to a study account + personal!) But we're thrilled about going forward to WAterS-2. Watch this space for more info and please do follow and share this account so we can reach you in future 😁 GM Neurorehab & Integrated Stroke Delivery Network Stroke Association GJBrainResearch
Very happy to have arrived at this event today, hoping to find some people interested in Wellbeing After Stroke (WAterS) study study #pcpi #research #wellbeing #stroke
I'm slow at posting things! But I'd feel remiss not to mention the fabulous #HealthChampions event last Saturday 30th at Millenium Powerhouse in Moss Side where I chatted to a diverse range of folks about Wellbeing After Stroke (WAterS) study and #research in general. I look forward to more collabs!
Such a wonderful first meet of our Wellbeing After Stroke (WAterS) study Research Advisory Panel (RAP). So excited about the work we'll do to increase the reach of #Stroke #support for #wellbeing. Please follow our WAterS account (tagged) to find out more! #pcpie #involvement #health #inequalities
And an exciting start by Singing Medicine - we love singing for wellbeing... perhaps we should integrate some (mindful) singing into WAterS.... what do you think? 😉
So proud to work with Audrey Bowen and do our small part towards trying to shift the needle RE #health #inequalities in #stroke #research
Enjoyed this #uksf23 session and will be using Stroke Association communication pack resources to support #research #inclusion in Wellbeing After Stroke (WAterS) study. Also recommend checking out resources from Speakeasy charity: speakeasy-aphasia.org.uk/aphasia/resear…
Wonderful talk from Suzie Wang - there is so much more we can do to support people from #minoritised #ethnic #groups to receive #peer #support after stroke! We hope Wellbeing After Stroke (WAterS) study will generate more cross-cutting learning in this field
