People should be allowed to come back to academia. It should not be a one-way ticket. Industry teaches people many valuable skills that academia lacks and vice versa. People hesitant to leave academia because of the FOMO, but if its not a one way road, things maybe different.

Big fan of ARCOS checking in! Anyone interested in grouping quantitative features of individual cell tracks should give this paper a read! It was fairly easy to adapt to my use case, and turned out to be the critical algo that helped us scale our main measurements!
