In the first years of life, motor skills form the foundation of all learning. Children need the regular practice of these so that they become second nature. Once foundation motor skills are embedded they can build upon them in other areas of development e.g reading and writing.

Puddles and mud - it's well worth the mess! Playing in mud allows children to develop many skills through sensory play. It's a fun way to get active in the fresh air while helping children boost their imagination and independent learning and teamwork! #EarlyYears
