If you're looking to cut pages, and you're down to trimming lines to do it, take a cue from small budget movies. Identify the scenes that really have to hit. Protect them. Give them the space they need. Be more merciless with the other scenes that won't make or break the story.

Screen time in a movie is a much more valuable limited resource than a page in a book. Write your screenplay accordingly. A book can be read at a reader's own pace. "I couldn't put it down" is considered high praise for a novel. It's the bare minimum for a movie or TV show.
