A lot of people seem to be missing the point that allowing employees ti pick an arrangement between remote/in-office/hybrid has nothing to do with productivity or logistics; it's about freedom, diversity and inclusion: let others do whatever THEY think is best for THEM.

JFC, "conda" might be the worst package manager I have ever used, bar none. The package avalanche effect is even more cumbersome than npm; my dev env is now bloated my head is about to explode.

I must say I'm very impressed with the current level of integration between dev tools like JetBrains Fleet, Docker and WSL2. Seems like Windows is very effectively playing catch-up with Linux as a development platform. It's not perfect and it's still quirky, but decent overall.

This is a very powerful leadership concept I've been applying a lot, lately: over-protecting people from failures is unsustainable; let the pain of few be felt by all, let everyone learn from the legacy of mistakes we all need to cope with. Well deserved HN first page.
