Shaky footage from De Soto Missouri tornado. It would have been better if I was not trying to call into the national weather service, but because it was an unconfirmed tornado via radar so I had to make sure someone at least knew! youtu.be/1IEbRB8dgFU?si… via YouTube

On this day, 9 years ago tonight, there was a very unusual area of aurora directly to my East while almost nothing showed in the north. 9/3/2016 from southern Minnesota.

Absolutely insane! The first clip usually where the sun should be blinding me by now. But this morning, I did not see the sun until about 7am. #mowx

A tornado-warned supercell west of Springfield eventually became outflow dominant and was undercut by cold air, but not before showing off some fantastic structure, with striations that were impressive by New England standards. Later, the storm evolved into a bookend vortex and

It has been a slow season for thunderstorms in MO this summer! Spring not so much. I’m hoping that we get one more good lightning storm before these cooler temperatures take over. Here is a throwback video to this time that my friend Josh and I got my first ever upwards

Check out the crazy winds that this tornado-warned supercell produced as it passed overhead in Sheffield, Massachusetts this afternoon! #stormchasing #wx #severeweather #mawx

⚡️Rainier Lightning Storm⚡️9/6 Nothing quite like the rumble of thunder through Mount Rainier National Park! Prolific lightning, rain, pea size hail and some nice CGs and crawlers made for quite the show last night! Image taken during a clearing in the rain, ~10:45pm. #wawx ⁦

Ragged scuddy shelf cloud and lightning over Thompson Dam, Connecticut. Lighting production out of the clouds really died off past the CT river in SNE

Kids this is why we don’t do drugs! This dude lives in Canada at a place where the Aurora happens super easily, which takes zero effort to get any type of photos. Why won’t you come down to Missouri and try to photograph it since us southern may not be suited for the effort.
