Surveyors from Long Engineering were spotted at Key Rd and Fayetteville Rd entering the Forest at approx 10am (2 trucks 4 workers). As of 10:30 workers are still present. Defend the Atlanta Forest/Stop Cop City #StopCopCity

ALERT: Alan Williams, the Atlanta Police Foundation project manager for Cop City, is leading a bulldozer into the Atlanta Forest right now. More forest defenders are needed to stop work near the ponds on the Old Atlanta Prison Farm land.

this is the first time the public has been able to see the actual final version of the cop city lease. it was not provided voluntarily, but rather from some scrappy volunteers doing GORA requests (georgia version of FOIA)

Atlanta, GA: Today, a group of 30-40 people gathered in front of the home of Shephard Long, principal of Long Engineering, one of the subcontractors hired to build the “Public Safety Training Center,” also known as “Cop City” in the Atlanta forest.
