This bill is deeply unpopular across the Puget Sound and the rest of Washington and would make energy more expensive. Olympia Democrats are making WA unaffordable!

At 2 AM, as Washingtonians slept, temperatures fell below freezing and Puget Sound Energy asked customers to begin reducing their energy use, WA House Democrats voted to start phasing out natural gas and raise utility rates for hundreds of thousands of households.

There already is a proposed $100M grant program to hire more cops. I know because I wrote the bill. Had you supported this idea at any point in the last 2 years, instead of waiting until campaign season, maybe WA could have climbed out of 51st place in police officers per capita.

Maybe Puget Sound Energy should spend less time trying to force their gas customers to electrify and more time worrying about how to maintain power for their electric customers on balmy spring days.

Don’t worry, by November every voter in the 10th LD will know that Clyde lied AND voted to ban natural gas.
