‘Triumphal March’ from Giuseppe Verdi’s 1871 grand opera, ‘Aida’, was masterfully delivered by Wind Orchestra at the 2024 Spring Concert at St George’s Church. The piece, which reflects a triumph, victory or great joy, features in the second act of the Italian composer’s opera.

First Year #swimmer Oli Tang is looking forward to representing Cheshire in the National Inter-County meet on 6th October. Oli, who is the third fastest 12-year-old for 50m freestyle on the Swim England site, has also been promoted into the National Youth squad Stockport Metro Performance Swimming.

Second Year Josie Stone was delighted to have been chosen as Bredbury St Marks Cricket Club’s Junior Player of the Season. The award was open to boys and girls from U9 to U19 and Josie was the youngest ever recipient! Alongside this, she won the Bowler of the Year award for the U13s. #SGSSport
