Happy New Year! We are looking for new choirboys. Our wonderful choir of boys aged 7-14 sings for services 2 Sundays a month. There is no charge for all the training boys receive, we provide your robes and everything else you need and we even give pocket money!

Looking forward hugely to helping to run this Be a Chorister afternoon at St Albans Cathedral next week! Boys in school years 3-5 are welcome to come and sing with the Cathedral Choir.

Following the retirement of our deputy head chorister, Marcus, on Easter Day because his voice has changed, and with the retirement of our head chorister imminent, we are looking for several boys aged 7-10 to join our wonderful boys choir! Contact [email protected]

Several of our boys have received the awards of the Royal School of Church Music RSCM Centre at bronze, silver and gold level. Training is provided free. We have sung for Queen Elizabeth II in the Commonwealth Carol Service and been featured on local radio.

We need more boys if we are to maintain our boys choir tradition in Harpenden, which has been in existence for over 150 years! We are now the last remaining boys choir in the area apart from St Albans Cathedral.

Our choirs sing regularly at Cathedrals all over the country - recent trips have included Rochester, St Albans, St Paul’s, Wells, St Edmundsbury…

This morning we admitted four new junior singers, promoted seven junior singers to junior choristers, installed Imogen as Head Chorister of the Girls’ Choir and welcomed three new girls and one new boy singing for their first service! St Nicholas Church, Harpenden

Yesterday our Girls Choir, Boys Choir, Choral Scholars and Adult Choir of St Nicholas Church, Harpenden sang evensong at St Albans Cathedral for a large congregation including Alan Smith. Fifty members of our choirs were able to join us on this occasion!
