Today RAF Boulmer (Home of 19 Sqn, 20 Sqn and 144SU) personnel served Christmas lunch to the residents at RAF Association Rothbury House. A great time was had by all, with many dits spun for old times sake. 🎄

This year, instead of doing a ‘Secret Santa’, FS Rose, from RAF Boulmer Station, organised a fundraising campaign to raise money for Mission Christmas. Collectively, a fantastic £245 was donated collectively by Service Personnel. A great effort for a great cause! Well done!

Back home after doing Stn Cdr's Christmas Day rounds to say thank you to RAF Boulmer (Home of 19 Sqn, 20 Sqn and 144SU) guard force, chefs, drivers, firefighters, and engineers & operators. Keeping us safe and supported 24/7/365. Merry Christmas from our little corner of Northumberland.

Well that's January done! It's been a breezy one throughout: Brizlee Wood and Boulmer beating our neighbouring RAF units Spadeadam and RAF Leeming in the windy stakes on 22 Jan. Some cracking sunrises too. Needless to say, we're working 24/7/365 regardless.

Great to catch up with the 144SU teams at RRH Staxton Wold today. Sadly too rainy to truly appreciate the views over North Yorkshire 😶‍🌫️, but this has been an early warning vantage point since a 3rd century AD beacon, hence the heraldic badge 🔥.

Today is apparently Admin Professionals Day. I am proud to have joined the RAF into what was called the 'Administrative Secretarial' branch. I dislike bureaucracy + long meetings, but I do like trying to support people + making a difference. I also love this quote!

In a dignified ceremony at RAF Cranwell, 78 Squadron received its ceremonial standard, symbolising its storied past and vital role in today's RAF. This event underscores the squadron's legacy and readiness to meet future challenges.

It's a lovely job writing up awards; it's even nicer when the list comes through and I make the phone calls and write congratulatory letters! A particular well done to 602 (City of Glasgow) Sqn Intelligence Flt, and Mr W my H&S guru.
