Last week our foundation phase enjoyed their annual Welly Walk. Raising money for our amazing Friends of the school. Children enjoyed a 1.5 mile walk in muddy conditions which they loved 😃 #healthy #ethical #learning

Yesterday children developed computational thinking and coding skills using Hour of Code There were 10 levels, all children completed the space invaders coding game. Some children will now represent the school at a cluster coding event in April. #AmbitiousCapableLearners 🖥️

Some of our blwyddyn 3/4 have enjoyed a digital art club this term using Adobe Express to create some amazing pieces for the Urdd Maldwyn celf competition. Da iawn pawb 🖥️ 🎨

As the school has an inset tomorrow we celebrated Comic Relief today with our favourite cartoon characters as voted for by the school council. Ending the day with an assembly and a cat walk! #ethical #learners

Last Thursday some of our children went to Welshpool High School to represent the school in the Urdd Maldwyn Mixed netball. Children enjoyed the experience and gave a 100 percent. Well done everyone.

On Tuesday the cluster held a STEM day with a focus on computational thinking, coding and pedagogical principles. Great attitudes from learners in the cluster and transitional work with the HS. We were also lucky to collaborate with local business Reeco as part of the event 🤖 🖥️

This week the children have led an Easter service and then each class retold and acted out the Easter story. Children also enjoyed a fashion walk where children showed off their Easter bonnets with donations going to the Salvation Army. #Easter2025

As a school we are immensely proud of every child that took part in the Sport Powys Cross Country yesterday. Every race had over 150 competitors, the children’s attitudes and behaviour were of the highest standard. 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃

Class 2 enjoyed learning about curlews and how they are being protected by the Curlew Connections Wales project. We tried probing for ‘food’ and used telescopes and binoculars to search for curlews and their nests!#curlewconnectionswales #ethical #ecoschools #stasaphdiocese

In our expressive arts lesson today, Class 2 did large scale representations of their ideas about what ‘ Peace’ means to them, as part of our work on the 80th anniversary of VE Day. #ethical #informed #stasaphdiocese

Well done to our year 3/4’s yesterday who played at the Urdd Maldwyn cricket competition and a massive congratulations to our violinists who represented the school at the national Urdd Gobaith Cymru eisteddfod last week. We are so proud of you all! 🎻 🏏

Our amazing class 3 children completed their 5mile walking challenge today, with 1010ft elevation. The children were amazing and not one child complained! We are immensely proud of them all. As a class they have raised over £800 so far! Da iawn pawb! #healthyindividuals

Well done our year 3/4 boys who won the football competition hosted by the friends of Ysgol Pennant on Saturday. The boys showed high standards both on and off the pitch and most importantly of all had a smile on their faces throughout. Well done boys! 🏆 🔵⚪️

Yesterday afternoon, we were so lucky to have Gareth from Stick 2 who delivered a percussion workshop. The children absolutely loved this experience and also answered so many challenging questions around musical phrases, instruments and notes. #expressivearts
