We're really excited for our Open Day at Hendre Lake this Saturday 21st June. Everyone is welcome💚 Colouring-in competition/badge making/nature crafts&games/bird walk/bee & pollinator ID walk/raffle/cyanotype art/dragonfly crafts/wildflower seeds/bug hunt

Our committee members will be at Conservation Volunteers St Mellons & Trowbridge Hendre Lake Open Day. Fun nature filled event for the community to enjoy. Chat about recycling at home/use of correct bins/sacks, and the importance of being responsible with litter especially when in our parks & green spaces 🚮

We are back for a community group litter pick on Saturday the 12th of July to clean up more of our streets and parks. Families can join us too 🚮

We were at Hope St Mellons Fun Day on Saturday with our Recycling Game which all of the children were really enjoying. Fun but educational too! They received a Litter Champion sticker, a wordsearch & colouring-in sheet for taking part ♻️🚮 #recycle

Massive thank you to the 6 volunteers who braved the heat on Saturday to clean up around Bethania Row & Orchard Park area of Greenway Rd, St Mellons. We collected 12 bags of litter, a broken chair & a broken travel cot. A small group but, again, we've made a big difference 🚮💚

For our next volunteer session, we will be teaming up with the amazing Cardiff Rivers Group at our Ancient Woodlands, Cath Cobb Woods, on Saturday 26th July to cut back vegetation, litter pick the woods, inc. the pond & stream, & surrounding area. #LoveWhereYouLive St Mellons

We have litter picked around St Mellons Hub today so all of the community can enjoy the Emergency Services Family Fun Day tomorrow in a litter free environment. You can chat to us there about recycling at home, reporting litter related issues& volunteering with us #CaruCymru ♻️🚮

Who's excited for the Bat Walk? We'll be at Hendre Lake Sat 13.09 with the Park Rangers to listen for bats. All the family are welcome to join us 🦇🦇 Last year we heard Common Pipistrelle, Soprano Pipistrelle, Daubenton's & Noctules. What will we hear this year? Hendre Lakes

Our next event is this Saturday, 4th October. We'll be at The Hive for a litter pick of the surrounding area and be there to support the launch of the Hive becoming a litter picking Hub with Keep Wales Tidy #bigcardifftidy 🚮
