Mr Niven’s National 5 class have been running the RUAE-lay Race over the past two days to consolidate and revise core RUAE skills before next week’s assessment. There has been fantastic work from everybody! Well done to our winners!

Today is the day for our Higher English candidates. We wish you all the best of luck for the exam - it is time for all your hard work throughout the year to pay off!

P7 having been taking part in a transition event with St Matthew's English reading, ‘The Boy with the Butterfly Mind.’ They raised their own caterpillars then released the butterflies in to our school grounds.

Mr Niven had a great time visiting StMarysLargs and meeting some P7s. Well done to everybody for their effort and hard work!

Mr Gardiner’s Higher class today we’re doing RUAE with a twist! They had to solve the clue, race to the hiding spot of the question to read it, and answer it in their groups.

Our S6 Literacy Ambassadors, Rebecca and Helyn, collected parents' and carers' views at our S2 parents' evening on Monday. Stay posted as we issue sign-ups for our Twilight Literacy Programme to support our learners and families which will take place in the New Year.

Mr McKee is really looking forward to meeting some families for our twilight literacy sessions.

We celebrated World Book Day by inviting S1 and S2 pupils along to the library for some speed reading. After much delibersation, their recommendation is Young Dracula by Michael Lawrence. It was great to see the passion for reading on show. Well done everybody.

Miss Parker’s class have been learning about the vanishing of the bees so to help out, they have been growing their own sunflowers. What a green-thumbed bunch!
