It is a common thing in our modern age for all my Othello essays to be discussing his "trans". And it has me reevaluating the whole play, until I realise it's a spelling mistake. #othello #trance #typo

"It all began with a picture of a Faun carrying an umbrella and parcels in a snowy wood. This picture had been in my mind since I was about sixteen. Then one day, when I was about forty, I said to myself: 'Let's try to make a story about it.'" Happy 125th birthday to C.S. Lewis!

"The Bro-code is not just toxic narcissists. It’s really wonderful, well-meaning, men who assume the best of other men. They don’t realize how their implicit trust is guiding them to harm the women who have little to no access to them." - Katelyn Beaty's substack, again.

This latest from #JohnMacArthur only serves to confirms his influence and platform seem increasingly dangerous. Some academic merit aside, certain MacArthurisms in belief and in culture have gone unchallenged too long. Sophie Killingley premierchristianity.com/opinion/john-m…

Overheard: "That '[sic]' is the most judgemental little thing – like, I know there's an idiot in the room, and it's not me".

We need another term: foul weather friends, who are only around when things are awful but totally don't need you when the weather's nice, they've had nice snacks, and everything else is a better plan than you - e.g. literally cats.
