I think Vision Pro actually significantly *helps* Meta. It legitimizes spatial computing and will help it appear human & somewhat fashionable. There are a lot of people out there who simply don’t care about specific features and will pick a Quest because it’s cheaper.

I'm consistently amazed at how difficult the final 10% of building a new product is. The gnarliest little edge cases pop up at the point of least amount of time left (looming deadlines, etc).

Starting to hack around with visionOS today. The simulator is super buggy but very fun to start getting my feet wet with this. Excited to prototype some things with it.

👉 I’m back at Meta now working at WhatsApp. I’ve deeply missed this company and the hacker culture it embodies. While I had some serious fun taking a detour, my heart remained with Meta, my work family there, and the company mission. Stoked to get back to work!

I’ve been having fun prototyping for VR / spatial design with the Quest Pro & Unity. I’ve been able to do quite a bit using Unity’s visual scripting system which is very similar to Origami but with an incredibly rich API. Excited to keep diving deeper in this space.
