THAT STOCK FUTURES ARE DOWN ~1% on the news that cuts in govt spending caused a decline in GDP shows how upside down the world is. Govt spending doesn't grow the economy (despite what misleading Keynesian measures like GDP show). Team Trump should stop reporting GDP--it's a trap.

The bond market is simply normalizing. Larger yield spreads across matutities rewards investors for taking duration risk. The only part of the yield curve that is not normal is the short end. Fed target rate should be 3.75

Brokerage is Retail, and Financial Advisors is psuedo-retail. Breakdown based on this is: 60% retail (and retail via an advisor) 35% trading (momentum and other via HF) 10% Banks/Goverment/Other 5% Institutional

The SALT cap increase 1) is a federal subsidy to high tax states with bloated budgets 2) only benefits tax payers making over $500k in those states. ⁦Sen. Marsha Blackburn⁩ ⁦Senator Bill Hagerty⁩ Tennessee should not subsidize this bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

The natural level for short end of yield curve is 3.75. Powell is 75bps late to the game. The average American is behind on debt payments, while the top 10% is fine (for now). Failure to lower rates this week is recessionary.

What are there net job losses? Companies will continue layoffs until short-term rates are low enough to refinance their debt. Fed rate should have been lowered 75 bps first half of the year.
