The Michigan Legislature has passed a budget (soon to be signed by the Governor) that reduces funding for school mental health and safety by over 90%. This isn’t leadership. Thanks to Rep. Breen for securing funding for mental health specifically for SLCS.

4th Grade students from Salem Elementary School joining Abbey Park residents to spread kindness by making Love Bugs! The energy in the room was amazing! Thanks to all involved!

Started the day playing pickleball at South Lyon East. Haven’t played in over 35 years. Other than bad knees and a significant decline in hand-eye coordination and overall athleticism, did ok and had fun! No additional injuries or ailments is deemed a success these days!

Sayre Running Club enjoying their final run of the year!

Also enjoyed joining the Sayre Running Club this morning. Kudos to the staff and parents who make this possible. Double kudos to the Sharks who participated. Their energy and enthusiasm was awesome. Not to mention developing healthy habits at a young age. Go Sharks!
