Because of GAFCON, future Anglicans will joke, “he crossed the Nile,” when speaking of someone who found his way to orthodox Anglicanism.

Very uncharitable. Also wrong. As for rootedness in the Bible, the NT does have a word or two (sine fine) about worship with white robes, altar, incense, lamp stands, crowns, processions… This is the “reality” that St. John saw in true Christ-Centered worship.

WHOOP said batería baja this morning and took me back to being 14 with my (no sabo) parents in Mexicali. I’d only had one year of Spanish and confused three shopkeepers asking for baterías when I needed pilas (never got ‘em). Weird how memories come back at strange cues.

"...did the devil deride the nature of man with great laughter... But the laughter is only a 3 days' pleasure, while the wailing is eternal; and his great laughter has prepared for him a greater wailing and ceaseless tears... and a sword in his heart." — St. Gregory Thamaturgus

This. Discipline > motivation. Daily prayer > one off zeal. Gym routine > new year resolutions Fasting with Church > fad diets. Dates nights with wife > Grand gestures Weekly sabbath > burnout vacation Consistent discipline > blow-up punishments Holiness is formed by habits.
