End of an era. This guy moulded the careers of so many fledgling musicians who went on to become legends in their own right. I saw him many times from 1969 up to his 80th birthday tour and each new band was fresh & inventive yet always solidly in the blues tradition.

One of the highlights this summer was playing big band jazz for 10,000 people at Glastonbury Abbey Musical Extravaganza.

Thoroughly enjoyed a visit to Russell-Cotes loved the recent Peter Joyce Peter Joyce in Artists in Purbeck exhibition & very chuffed to come across a Freddie Gore in the main house

Was stopped in my tracks by this canvas at RISD in Providence Massachusetts, by an artist called Jackie Saccoccio. Sadly, I read she died tragically young at 56 in 2020.
