Furthering my point - the Dorman Long tower has just as much potential as the Baltic Mill. Obviously not in the same prime location, but why not make it one?

Even when we talk about prime locations, the quayside was hardly Venice a few decades ago. The transformation, brought on through investing in historic buildings and recalibrating for leisure use, has meant people *literally* travel to the NE for it. South Bank has potential.

Wow. So thats it. Ben Houchen’s Teesworks will be demolishing the historic Dorman Long tower and losing one of the last iconic industrial landmarks on Teesside. No route for Redcar and Cleveland council to appeal. C20 Society @JohnD_WMFB @SCAM_NE

Our thoughts exactly. A deafening silence. Where’s the noise from our cultural institutions who actually have some sway in Teesside? Or do they just not want to upset Ben Houchen?
