Get creative! 🌳 This simple ‘tree’ in the hall was upcycled, how creative!? 🪵 The ‘shelter’ in the library was logs tied with pupils prayers on. 🎨 Art room had Psalm 139 that pupils had added their words to. 🦁 We fell in love with the Lion in the corridor!

Harvest is a time when we say thank you and reflect on the wonders of God’s creations. The children of St Edmund’s said a great big thank you to their families today for the generous donations that were made #harvest

St Edmund’s welcomed PrayerSpaceInSchools yesterday to teach us about the wonders of prayer spaces in schools and how we can develop and enhance this within our school. We can’t wait to get started on our Spiritual Garden

Our Key Stage 2 classes celebrated Harvest with Rev Sarah in our beautiful church. The pupils presented donations to our chosen local charity The Community Cupboard and our Year 6 pupils read prayers and readings in order to say thank you.

Thank you to PrayerSpaceInSchools for your inspiration. We have created a prayer/reflection space in our hall which changes weekly, in-line with the focus of our daily worships. This week has allowed the pupils to reflect on one thing that God made them good at.

Huge congratulations to our Y5/Y6 team, who won the St Michael’s Plate. For some of our pupils this was their first football game and together the team shone their light.

As Term 1 draws into its final week of learning, our pupils enjoyed their end of term disco which was organised by our fabulous PTA.

One more step along the road for Year 5 this week as they were presented with their Bibles at St Edmund’s Church. Rev. Sarah commended all of the pupils on their behaviour and how their prayers and passages were read with pride and confidence 🌟

Celebrating Children in Need 2024 🐻

Drum roll 🥁………. our fabulous PTA raised just over £1000 at their Christmas Fair yesterday. From all the pupils and staff, thank you to everyone who continues to support our primary school.

This year’s Christingle was even more special at St Edmund’s as it was our fabulous Reverend’s final one. As each Christingle was lit, the lights were turned off and the school reflected on Jesus’ light and the reason for the season.
