Students in Mr. Vaughan's English 1 had the opportunity to conduct research at the William T. Young library at the University of Kentucky. Students left with 2 great sources of information for their upcoming podcast series 'Why Work?' and left thinking more about their futures!

Some of our STEAM Academy students recently had the opportunity to take a field trip and tour Morehead State University giving them even more opportunity to become College and Career Ready.

Congrats to STEAM's Nes and Lucy Morris. They were in Dayton last weekend for Winter Guard International World Competition. Nes is a member of Lafayette Varsity Guard, placing 10th in the World! Lafayette is the 1st Lexington High School to make the finals! We are proud of you!

Students in Advanced Physics are constructing scale models of structures where they will then learn about circuits and wiring. They will wire their structures, with switches, to mimic how electrical circuits in houses work.

Students teaching students! Thanks to our Senior Arnav and Kevin Schoedinger from the FCPS Office of Innovation for immersing our students in the world of Apple Vision Pro! Great discussion on how it works and ways it can be incorporated into future learning environments.

STEAM Families: Please look for an email from FCPS regarding technology forms. The Acceptable Use Policy and 1:1 Chromebook Agreement forms must be completed in order for your student to have full account rights and receive their Chromebook. These are new forms for 24-25.
