3 teams of S3-6 girls competed in Growing Future Assets Investment Competition. The competition saw teams choose a business, investigate their successes and failings, compile a report and 3-minute pitch to convince experts to invest in their chosen business. 👋👋

This week a group of our S6 Caritas pupils attended a reception Scottish Parliament with SCIAF 🧡 and Pax Christi Scotland to hear from Martha Inés Romero from Columbia, Secretary General of Pax Christi International and to reflect on peace and non-violence. Columbia is the focus of this year’s #WeeBox appeal.

This week, while Focus missionaries were in delivering retreats to pupils in RE, it was lovely to welcome our lay chaplain, Angela, who alongside Sr Aurora was recently commissioned by Archbishop Archbishop Leo Cushley of Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh to be our lay chaplains.

Well done to Caitlin and Annie who read at today’s ecumenical World Day of Prayer service at St Ninian’s Church. Thank you also to David and Christian for attending to support today’s event. This year’s prayer service was written by Christian women in the Cook Islands.

Today P7 pupils from across the St Columba’s and St Andrew's RC High clusters gathered for the Fife Catholic Schools Moving On Mass. Thanks to the primary schools who put it together, our S3 pupils who helped, our technicians and catering staff, and Canon James who celebrated Mass.

On 3rd March Donna Stewart, former DHT of St Columba's High school, visited in her new role as Chief Examining Officer for the SQA.  Along with John Booth, Interim Chief Executive, they enjoyed a tour of the building and had an opportunity to speak to staff and pupils.

Our school community paused in prayer this morning following the passing of our Holy Father, Pope Francis. We are thankful for his witness and example, and pray that he may now have eternal rest.

Last week our cluster P7 pupils travelled to Dounans and were joined by St Columba’s staff. The week finished with Mass and our school hymn, Hail to Columba. We look forward to welcoming you to St Columba’s!
